Cultivating Connections: A Recap of the 2026 National Restaurant Association Show
The National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago remains the premier stage for foodservice breakthroughs, and our experience this year proved that the industry is ready for real change. For the Corn Next team, the 2026 event was a remarkable success, defined by inspiring conversations, high-energy networking, and a shared enthusiasm for authentic environmental solutions.
Here is a look back at our experience and the exciting momentum we are carrying forward.
From the opening hours at McCormick Place to the final packing of our booth, we enjoyed connecting with an incredible lineup of operators, chefs, and supply chain executives. Here is a brief look at how we showcased the future of material science and what it means for our partners moving forward.
Spotlighting Truly Natural Innovation
Our goal for this show was simple: demonstrate that businesses do not have to compromise on performance to achieve true sustainability. We gave visitors an exclusive look at our latest product prototypes, highlighting the strength and everyday utility with our CornNext-17 with other 100% natural components.
The biggest draw to our booth was undoubtedly our new flavored straws. Engineered to provide an enjoyable, elevated sipping experience while dissolving naturally back into the environment without a trace of microplastics, they quickly became a major point of discussion for restaurant brands looking to upgrade their consumer experience.
To support these physical product showcases, we introduced our newly designed company flyers and educational materials. These resources gave attendees a straightforward, transparent breakdown of our technical data and compliance tracks, making it easy to see how our materials stand apart from standard bio-plastics.
Turning Conversations into Long-Term Partnerships
The sheer volume of engagement this year made it clear that the momentum behind sustainable infrastructure is accelerating. We spent the entire show connecting directly with companies of all sizes, discussing real-world integration, scalability, and the changing regulatory landscape.
From local, independent dining establishments to nationwide distribution networks, the feedback was remarkably consistent: the market wants reliable alternatives to traditional plastic. Having the opportunity to exchange ideas and map out custom implementation strategies with so many forward-thinking professionals made for an exceptional week.
Setting Our Sights on 2027
We are heading home with a wealth of strong relationships, an extensive list of detailed follow-up leads, and an even stronger commitment to advancing true biomaterial technology. This event marked another incredibly successful chapter for Corn Next, and it wouldn't have been possible without the vibrant community in Chicago.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our booth, test our prototypes, and talk strategy with our team. Your insights help shape our direction, and we are already looking forward to keeping the momentum going.
